On 6th October 2014, CESG issued specific BYOD guidance for using Excitor G/ON OS, the secure remote access solution from Excitor, for accessing “Official” information for Remote and Home Working.
This guidance will affect all UK Public Sector Organisations and allow them to offer a low cost, managed solution to provide flexible home and remote working for staff.
Excitor G/On saves money over traditional VPN solutions by implementing a simplified single server architecture, fully integrated with the corporate LAN. G/On prevents data leakage and controls access by users including staff, contractors, partners and customers, to specific applications, without the need for a VPN. It provides fast, low cost access to client/server applications such as Citrix servers, VDI, RDP, Intranet and web applications. No data leaves the corporate network and no data can be downloaded from or uploaded to the user’s local PCs or USB devices.
For more information or to discuss the guidance or the technical and security aspects of using G/On OS as a BYOD solution for your organisation please get in touch.
