Domain Names

Ecommnet can provide domain name registration services for all major top level domains, .com etc. as well as specific country domains such as .co.uk and .uk.

Ecommnet are full members of Nominet the UK registration authority, we also partner with BB Online UK Limited a UK based ICANN Registrar to provide non .uk registrations.

Ecommnet provide these domain registration services to its customers under the following minimum terms and conditions.

 

1. Preliminary Remark

BB Online            is an officially accredited registrar of ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers)

BB Online            registers domain names for the Registrants on behalf of Ecommnet Ltd. under the Top Level Domains activated by Ecommnet Ltd.

NOMINET              are the official registrar for the .UK domain space

Ecommnet Technologies Limited.    is a reseller of Domains.

Registrants         are customers of Ecommnet Ltd. who are registered as domain owners and who hold the material rights to the registered domains.

 

2. Personal & Company Information

Domain name services and necessary personal and company information will be entered into the database of the appropriate Registrar and will only be given to interested parties, should it be necessary for the function of the internet.

Ecommnet Technologies Limited. and the Registrant declare their consent that the personal data being published with the approval of the involved parties, and that these parties know that their data will be available for the public as a source of information on the internet, as well as that the use of incorrect or false information can be considered a violation of the registration Ecommnet Ltd. shall ensure that the identity and contact information provided by the Registrant of any privacy or proxy registration service offered or made available by reseller in connection with each registration will be deposited with Registrar.

 

3. Agreement of Registrar and ICANN Terms

The Ecommnet Technologies Limited. requires all Registered Name Holders to enter into an electronic or paper registration agreement with the Ecommnet Technologies Limited. or its reseller including at least the provisions detailed in the general terms and conditions of the appropriate registrar (BB Online or Nominet)  as well as all registration agreement provisions and notices required by the ICANN Registrar Accreditation Agreement and any ICANN Consensus Policies, and shall identify the sponsoring registrar or provide a means for identifying the sponsoring registrar, such as a link to the InterNIC Whois lookup service.

4. Agreement of Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy

All accredited registrars of ICANN are committed to the UDRP. Each customer who registers a domain beneath any ICANN Tlds must accept this policy.

 

5. Agreement of Uniform Domain Transfer Policy

ICANN Transfer of Domain-Names Transfer Policy.

In order to transfer a domain, Ecommnet Technologies Limited AS ISP of the customer must provide evidence of permission, either through the client directly or through an administrative contact. Ecommnet Technologies Limited will support BB Online with the registrar-transfer either to or from BB Online upon requirement, according to the ICANN Policy on Transfer of Registrations between Registrars:

6. WHOIS Data Reminder Policy (WDRP)

At least annually, Ecommnet Technologies Limited. will present to the registrant the current Whois information, and remind the registrant that provision of false Whois information can be grounds for cancellation of their domain name registration. BB Online can assist the Ecommnet Technologies Limited. with this function. Registrants must review their Whois data, and make any corrections:

7. Data Escrow

The Ecommnet Technologies Limited. shall either:

(i) ensure that the identity and contact information (name and postal address, e-mail address, and voice telephone number) provided by the customer of any privacy or proxy registration service offered or made available by the Ecommnet Ltd. in connection with each registration will be deposited with BB Online or held in escrow.

(ii)or

(iii) display a conspicuous notice to such customers at the time an election is made to utilise such privacy or proxy service that their data is not being escrowed. The Ecommnet Technologies Limited. shall bind its resellers to similar obligations. In the event that ICANN makes available a program granting recognition to resellers that escrow privacy or proxy registration data as detailed above, and the Ecommnet Technologies Limited. meets any other criteria established by ICANN in accordance with its Bylaws, reseller shall be permitted to apply to ICANN for such recognition.

 

8. Renewal Procedure

Domains are renewed on an annual/bi-annual basis, we will send renewal reminders approximately 30 days prior to your domain name expiring. We will send the reminder to the email address on the account, and it is the registrants responsibility to make sure their contact details are up to date. If you do not wish to renew a domain please make sure you contact us a minimum of 14 days before your domain expires by emailing orders@ecommnet.uk.

 

9. Domain Expiry

If you request that you no longer wish to have your domain name renewed by us, it will be left to expire and all services we provide regarding that domain name will be suspended. Your domain name will then go into a 30 day protected period, after 30 days your domain will be suspended by Nominet and it will go into a 60 day grace period. If you change your mind and still wanted to retain your domain name, you still can and at the original renewal price. This must be requested by email before the 80th day after your domain has expired. Approximately 93 days after expiry your domain will be cancelled and deleted from the register, and made available for resale through a third party registrar by Nominet. ecommnet Ltd will not guarantee the renewal of a domain name after this happens.

 

10. Bulk Orders

In case of bulk domain orders Ecommnet Technologies Limited. will accept partial deliveries if one or more domains of the bulk order could not be registered.

The Registrant is fully liable for orders made through the Ecommnet Technologies Limited. The Ecommnet Technologies Limited. is obliged to inform the Registrant about all important agreements, general terms and conditions, events and notifications, and to include these in its own registration agreement. The Ecommnet Technologies Limited. must be able to act in the name of the Registrant.

 

11. Third Party Rights

The Registrant is obliged to ensure that no name-rights of third parties are violated by the registration or his use of the domain. The Ecommnet Technologies Limited. shall expressly point out this responsibility to the Registrant.

 

12. Disputes

In case of any misunderstandings, disputes or arguments towards the use of domain-names, Ecommnet Technologies Limited. and the Registrant are committed to accept the applicable Dispute-Polices of the respective TLD. These policies shall be considered to be part of this agreement and the Ecommnet Ltd.is obliged to bind the Registrant to them.

The respective Dispute-Policy can be changed at any time for an important cause. The continued registration of a domain is subject to the acceptance of the changed Dispute-Policy. Should the Ecommnet Technologies Limited. or the Registrant choose not to accept the changed Dispute-Policy, then the domain shall be deleted at their request.

 

13. Complaints Procedure

Here at Ecommnet we like to think we get it right all the time, every time but the truth of it is everyone gets it wrong from time to time. We can only improve on our services with valid feedback from you, our customers.

If you wish to make a complaint about a service you have received, please submit an email to elaine.parker@ecommnet.uk including as much detail from the issue you have. We will acknowledge your complaint within 1 business day and aim to resolve any issues within 5 business days.

14. Reporting Abuse

If you wish to raise a complaint about abuse you have received (phishing scams, spam emails etc), please use the form below adding as much detail about the abuse. We will investigate your complaint immediately.
